Our School

We shape people of character

More than 150 years shaping bilingual citizens for a global world

Welcome to Colegio Peruano Alemán Alexander von Humboldt, a bilingual, bicultural and international school that, for more than 150 years, has shaped people of character to thrive in an increasingly global world.

We are a school of encounter, recognized by the governments of Peru and Germany and part of the network of German Schools Abroad (Deutsche Auslandsschulen – DAS). Thanks to the joint work of both countries, we offer an excellent education that integrates the best of the Peruvian and German educational systems.

International certifications

To educate means much more than transmitting knowledge: we shape people of character.

Academic excellence and intercultural education for an international future

Our educational approach combines academic excellence, holistic development and character building. From the earliest years, our students learn in Spanish and German, take English as a compulsory language and later French, earning international certifications such as the German International Abitur, the Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD), Cambridge English and DELF. Beyond language learning, we foster an intercultural education that enables them to understand different realities, value diversity and act with confidence in national and international contexts.

We believe that educating means much more than transmitting knowledge. We shape people of character who develop critical thinking, autonomy, creativity and problem-solving skills, while strengthening values such as respect, responsibility, integrity, participation and excellence. This is complemented by solid teaching in science, technology, humanities, arts, music, dance, theatre and sport, fostering the integral development of every student.

The values we cultivate

An educational community that fosters talent and a sense of belonging

Colegio Humboldt is an educational community built on the commitment of students, families, teachers, staff and alumni. Our environment fosters mutual respect, collaboration, a sense of belonging and the development of individual talent. Extracurricular activities, exchange programmes, cultural and sporting life and spaces for student participation enrich the educational experience and strengthen our community.

We look to the future with the conviction to keep shaping people of character: young people ready to learn throughout life, to face challenges with knowledge, judgement and humanity, to build bridges between cultures and to contribute positively to society. This is the essence of Colegio Peruano Alemán Alexander von Humboldt and the legacy that, generation after generation, continues to inspire our educational work.

Institutional Leadership

Those who have guided our history

Colegio Peruano Alemán Alexander von Humboldt has built its history thanks to the commitment, vision and leadership of those who, from the General Directorate, the Peruvian Directorate and the School Association, have guided the development of our educational community.

Over the decades, their leadership has driven academic excellence, pedagogical innovation, internationalization and institutional strengthening, establishing the school as one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Peru and a reference within the network of German Schools Abroad.

This gallery honours those who, with a vocation for service, commitment and a long-term vision, have helped shape generations of students and strengthen an institution that continues to evolve without losing sight of its purpose: to shape people of character.
